Irene Compton
Mailbox History:
We now travel to Hope and see Irene Compton’s “Farmer’s Daughter” that is a welcome addition to her mailbox. The pattern for this block was first printed in 1932 in the Kansas City Star newspaper. It was originally stitched with diamonds, but to simplify piecing, they can be replaced with triangle-pieced squares.
